Derived from ashtanga vinyasa yoga, these two styles share many similarities, particularly the practice of sun salutations and the synchronisation of movement with the breath. Vinyasa flow and power yoga do not stick to the traditional ashtanga series and can have a dance like quality. These are powerful and energetic methods where students move fluidly from one pose to the next, incorporating strength, flexibility, cardio and balance.
